"Right now, we have to work overtime just to make ends meet. We deserve a livable wage without having to work overtime so we can take care of ourselves and our families, while we are taking care of your family members too!"

When I confronted my employer about my unpaid wages he said "You people are beneath me". That is discrimination and I have yet to recover my wages. The home care industry in CO needs accountability and home care workers need protections from bad bosses.

"My coworkers face harassment from clients every day, the only solution from management was to 'stay an arms-length away'. Resident on caregiver harassment, who has our back? We can't stand up for ourselves right now"

"At the same time we’re responsible for other human beings, we struggle to even provide for ourselves and meet our own basic needs because our work is so under-valued and under-appreciated. That's why we need a seat at the decision making table. We know best what we need to thrive and stay in these important jobs!"
